What's the best way to throroughly clean a hair brush without softening the bristles?

I have a men's hair brush and my little sister uses it all the time. She's stopped since recently, but there's a bunch of white fuzz on the brush that transfers to my hair. Any way to remove this besides buying a new brush?

My wife bought me a wooden hair brush from The Body Shop about 3 years ago. It works well, and you can clean it often without damaging the brush. Check it out.

i believe you can wash it with some gentle "baby" shampoo, let it air dry???? thats what i would do...i dont knoe how the bristles will hold up though
