Figure out whatever liquid beverage that you can tolerate drinking that isn't too bad for you, and get lots of it.
Flush out it out with hydration 
I prefer cold gatorade, REALLY cold water, or anything carbonated (limeseltzer 50/50 with orange juice is my favorite treatment for a cold in progress).
If you're bored, I'd also suggest gargling Listerine at night and in the morning too, though I'm not if it's actually killing any germs in the throat
