What's the best way to Get Files From a Laptop to a Desktop

Do you have a NIC for the laptop? CDROM? USB? Firewire? Parallel port? Give us some details to work with. (Same applies for the desktop).

Thorin, thanks for the help. Lap and desk will have USB, NICs, an RW CD ROMs, Desk has a parallel port. Not sure about the laptop as I have yet to purchase...

I'll fix the sig when I get a chance...

Get a crossover ethernet cable. Set up each machine for windows filesharing or a simple tcp/ip network and transfer the files that way.
