What's the best way to deal with a 23 year old who's after my 17 year old sister?

I had her forward the e-mails to me, & here's a direct quote from his latest e-mail:

[Viper's Sister]

You are way too nice to me [Viper's Sister]. A lot of girls would tell me to shove it up my ass for coming on so strongly. You just smiled really big in the library that one time and I thought you were really into me. I don't mean to be rude but you looked really fetching in that tight blue shirt you wore the last time I saw you. Your dairy pillows are quite perky. I had a hard time not looking at them. Please don't be angry with me.

This weekend I am going to look for a job and do a lot of work on my papers.

You shouldn't label yourself a "conservative christian." It isn't good to box yourself in that way. You should ask yourself if you are comfortable with this label and wether you have chosen this path or your parents have chosen this path for you?

I was never seriously pursuing you I thought that you are pretty and I like to be around pretty girls who are nice to me.

This is after she told him that she wasn't interested in his advances. He is completely aware of her age.

Has he technically done anything wrong at this point?

I'm considering looking up the Oregon statutes regarding such things as contributing to the sexual delinquency of a minor & having her e-mail that back to him. She hasn't replied to him yet, & I told her to wait a little while.

A rubber hose filled with sand in a dark alley might straighten him out.

This guy is a sex offender in the making. Down in Alabama, we would have drug him off behind the barn, beat the crap outta him, then turned him loose in the field with the mad bull.

He hasn't done anything illegal. But your sister's 17. It's only a 6 year age difference. Tell the guy if he's interested in your sister to wait till her birthday before they start dating (if dating is in the picture)

She's doing fine, she just finds it rather repulsive. I want to give her an idea for the best possible e-mail to make him stay away.

i don't think he's done anything wrong. but he uses recycled pickup lines, which is annoying. not to mention he is 6 years older than her, not that theres anything wrong with that but....he just doesn't seem like a "winner."

I can try and toss a spear at him if that helps...it's all I'm really capable of right now

Seriously though, you better have someone keep an eye on this guy if he's gonna be around your sister while you can't be there...

With pickup lines as bad as this you don't need to do anything, he's on crash and burn mode

OMG!

Well definately look it up. All I can say is that get sarah a bottle of mace if this guy tries anything she can use it. I really dont know what to say, but you can definately let him know that your protecting her and that you dont want him to ever approach her.

I really dont know what else to say. She is 17.. not like she is 18 and an legal adult.

Either case she said no and he should walk away. This guy looks like those creeps that most women end up going out with and leaving us nice guys at teh curb.

greg you got to do something.

I find personal confrontation to be the answer to most things that trouble me.

<< if she has said NO to his advances, thats sexual harrasment. >>

I don't know if she's explicitly said no yet, is that the deciding factor? She's much too polite to people, & kindly explained that she really didn't think she was his type and then said this:

So, while I'm happy to talk you on a casual basis, I figure we might as well be clear that I'm not too interested and you might want to find someone else to think about.

Is that enough to be considered no?

I belive that is direct enough. in a legal sense, its a TAD blurry but I think it would pass in the court of law. her best option is to tell him flat out that she does NOT want him to communicate with her period. if she enjoys talking with him then make it VERY clear what is and is not acceptible.

She doesn't particularly enjoy talking to him, but it's one of those cases where she runs into him at school & he tends to hang around. She was never too impressed with him before all this started (particularly his references to women as "fvcking ugly bitches"), but was willing to talk to him a couple times a week when she saw him.

Post her pic and give the guy some competition.

How did I know that would come up.

No way this has gotten to the point not to crack the mandatory pic joke dude. I'm not the jackass here, this guy is, and so far that's all he is. Lighten up. And before anyone asks, I have a sister, a younger one, so I know what this is like. And no, no pics.

Viper GTS, this best way for you to deal with this is to buy your sister a stun gun and let her handle this herself.

I missed the part about her not being interested before. Simply copy and paste this into her next email to him:

I'm sorry if I led you on but I am not interested. I'm also illegal for you to be persuing. Goodbye.

Bonus points for putting this in: You are the weakest link. Goodbye!
