I've got a video in XViD format (MPEG4 sortof) thats running at 25fps, and I want to try and burn it onto DVD, MPEG2.
I've been able to use TMPGEnc to convert it from MPEG4 to MPEG2 with some sucess, but if I convert it at the standard 24fps for Progressive video (non-interlaced) video then the video plays back all jumpy because the last frame is missing. If I convert it to 30fps, progressive video then my DVD Authoring software (DVD Lab) pukes saying that its a non-standard video format.
Is there something better out there that I can use or am I just doing it wrong? I also have a problem that at the end of reading the video it says "Invalid Pointer" which is fine for the most part since its done re-encoding, but if I do a 2-Pass VBR then it never gets through because at the end of the first pass it gets that error. So for now I'm just using Auto VBR, which looks decent enough (not really concerned about quality as much as just getting a working copy on DVD).
Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks!!!!
I guess 25fps is the standard framerate for PAL video ... Is there anyway I can convert this from PAL to NTSC so I can use it on my DVD player ?
