that usually works for me. but since i have an nvidia card, i do the "display optimization wizard", so i can calibrate my monitor as well.

Yes, because you will most likely eventually find it, and then it will bug you for the rest of the monitor's active life. It is best to catch the imperfections early, when there is still a possibility of returning a defective unit.
