what's the best voip program to use to chat while playing games online?

Ventrilo has always sounded better to me than Teamspeak. Plus I like the options it has.

Out of Vent and Teamspeak, I prefer Ventrilo, but mostly use Skype because I usually only game with 3 or 4 people

are these all free? My roommate at school plays WoW and talks on his mic allll day, and he says someone actually pays for a server for them. i was like wtf why

they probably use ventrillo then.

vent is WAY better than TS as far as quality goes. i've only used TS a handful of times but hope to never have to again.

Programs are free, but you rent servers to use others bandwidth and CPU cycles. Teampeak on a normal cable connection gets kinda boggy after about 5 people connect to it.

Whatever happened to MS Gamevoice? We used to use that for a long time, and it seemed to work pretty well, even when we had 10 people yapping back and forth.
