What's the best video card out there now in the $100-150 range?

I finally got an Dell 1800FP LCD and my old Geforce 2 GTS doesn't a DVI out so I figure I might as well spend some more money and get a new video card. I don't play games much but I do plan on playing Doom 3 when it comes out. I really want a card that'll play Doom 3 but i don't have that much to spend. Also since 99% of what I do is 2D i'd like to have a card with good 2D quality too. Any suggestions?

Second the 9600 Pro or if you can find one a 9500 Pro would be a bit better.

9600 Pro is probably the best card in the $150 range. Dont know if 9500 Pro could be found for that low.

Seems unanimous. I have both the 9500 pro (128 MB) and the 9600 pro (256 mb) in my sons gaming machine. He is able to play any game he wishes without problems. I think the 9600 Pro is certainly the best buy in video cards.

im glad to see you got him the 9600pro with 256 megs. im sure he is enjoying the lower clockspeeds and the worthless ram. :beer:
