What's the best upgrade plan?

I'm going from a GF4-4200 to a Sapphire Radeon 9800 (no pro). I got the card today and looked at the RAM. It's the Samsung 3.3 (300Mhz) stuff.

Question 1: Any simple way to do an Nvidia --> ATI upgrade? Is there a video driver cleanup program available? I haven't crossed brands in a while. I used to do an uninstall of the driver, set to standard VGA, and manually sift thru the directories and registry for stray driver entries not cleaned up by the driver uninstall.

Question 2: Should I try and flash it to a Pro as others have done?

Question 3: If I flash it should I boot the system first as a non-pro or do the flash first and go right to pro speeds? If I understand correctly the pro and non-pro both use the same Catalyst driver so my thinking is boot at default and see how stable things are.

Thanks!

Use drivercleaner to get rid of your old nvidia drivers. As for flashing the bios, if it were me, I probably wouldn't. But then I know there are lots out there who want to get the very most out of their card right from the start. So, if you're one of those people, flash that sucka :D
