Whats the best type of Memory?

Hi, I was wondering if anybody could help me in sorting out which is the better memory type to go with RDRAM or DDR?Basically i want to build a new computer with a p4 2.8ghz,512 megs of mem,ATI radeon 9700 pro,and a RAID. Also i was wondering if someone could give me advice on a RAID controller(0).

For a Pentium4 platform, PC1066 RDRAM is the best. DDR333/400 is close, but the Pentium4 really shins with RAMBUS.

until granite bay and dual channel ddr
if you dont plan on overclocking, however, rambus is better (it will allow for some light overclocking, depending on the ram)

for raid controller, the 3Ware Escalade is the fastest IDE RAID controller. It flat out owns Promise controllers.

As far as overclocking can rambus be overclocked?I currrently have little experience with OC but i think i might gently(at least) OC this new computer.
Also which brand of 512megs memory would you recommend?Lastly which MB maker would you recommend?

Forgot to ask, how does DDR400 compare to PC1066 does it come closer to PC1066?In other words
Which should i get DDR400 or PC1066?
Thanks Sebastian

RDRAM does offer a significant boost, but only in applications that are more memory bandwidth sensitive. For most applications, single channel DDR333 offers enough memory bandwidth to keep the P4 from being too constrained. The problem with PC1066 RDRAM is that it costs approximately double what DDR333 does. Dual channel DDR333 is another story. The Granite Bay chipset provides the best performance of any Intel platform, except in a few situations.

What MotherBoard Would you recommend to go with a p4 2.8ghz i just ordered?I do plan to OC the system a little when i get it ready.
Is Dual DDR433 catching up to PC1066 in speed? In other Words is it worth the money to buy RDRAM?
Thanks sebastian

Asus P4T533 with RIMM 4200 RDRAM (32bit version of 1066 RDRAM which is 16bit), the new boards are awsome. Good for ocing also, seen P4 2.53 oced to 3.09 on this board.
