I'm a fan of Magnum P.I. What can I say, he's cool. Anyway, I have the first season on DVD, but one of the episodes has a glitch halfway through it, significant enough to stop the DVD player and my computer when they try to play that section. I was thinking if I maybe decrypted the disc -- in the process running it through some kind of error correction system -- I might be able to re-burn it so that it would at least continue playing, even if it was blank frames for the length of the glitch.
I've tried it with DVD Decrypter, but it takes forever, even with it set to ignore read errors with the retry count at 0. (I left it going overnight, 8 hours, and it wasn't done in the morning) I'm wondering if there's a better program out there that can handle that. Can anybody think of one?
