what's the best thriller you have EVER seen?

I saw the shining a bit ago, and I didn't find it one bit scary. I'm lookin for the scariest thriller you've ever seen;.

I like movies where basically people come out of nowhere, horrors like hannibal dont scare me, I need somehting where people come out from back of doors, and just scare you.
