Depends on the situation but Artic Silver 5 is one of the best Thermal compounds avi. for use in the PC.

Another pretty decent compound is Cooler Master Premium (Shin Etsu). It sells under the code PTK-001, and I use it on my CPU. Seems to do the job quite well, and doesn't need a 'settling in' period like some compounds do.

Of course, *any* thermal paste is ok so long as you're not OC'ing.
