What's the best Sub-$1000 monitor?

If you have $1G, which monitor would you buy? why?

Sony 21". Other than with CAD work possibly, they just look better than any others, IMHO.

Mitsubishi DiamondPlus 200 is a very nice monitor. The Sony G500 is definitely more than $1000.

Also consider Hitachi, Samsung, and KDS.

The way I figure is that the CTX and KDS both have 300MHz, so...I think the sony is also 300MHz...

I like the 22" though if I had the moola, I'd get the sony 24"

JaiKnight, I was referring to video bandwidth, not frequency. However, I would love to be able to do 1600x1200x32 @ 300MHz refresh rate

I'm not an expert, but I would guess that it allows higher resoulution at higher refresh rates...

can anyone confirm this?
