What's the best stock investment management software?

I'm looking for a good software package that will track my investments. For example, if I buy the same stock three times at different prices, it should be able to tell me my gain for each of the purchases as well as a total aggregate gain.

Some brokerages calculate cost and growth as a free part of their service (with quarterly or annual reports), you might check whether your brokerage does this.

I haven't needed a package since I don't trade, I just buy and hold stock index mutual funds.

brokerages give you that online free

ScotTrade has a good setup for that which I find useful for my account there. Again, free.
