I just purchased burner, looking to get software. Also I am planing on borrowing movies from friends and renting movies and burning them. I wanted to know if that was legal if i dont sell the ones i burn if i just use them for personal use. Again what software is best for all of those things. Thank YOU.

This is if you personally own the DVDs. I do not condone illegal copying. But DVD Decrypter found at www.dvddecrypter.com and dvdshrink work the greatest. Rip to FILE w/ decrypter, shrink if needed, and burn with decrypter from iso shrink creates.

I forgot to mention both are free and work better than most if not all applications you pay money for.

Get DVD Shrink 3.2...

Is as simple as this, load the dvd... it will save to a location (or you can use 2 drives instead of saving). Once you do that all u do is hit back and it burns it for you. This is exactr quality with menus and everything.... piece of cake

DVD shrink + DVD Decrypter really can't be beat in my opinion.

There is a wealth of information to be found on everything DVD ralated over at www.afterdawn.com

You'll find download links to all of the most popular (and for the most part, FREE) software as well as tutorials which will walk you through step by step with how to use each program. Finally, there are the afterdawn forums which will cover any question you could possibly come up with including games, console mods, burners, disc formats, software, tech support etc.

Give it a look.....you will not be disappointed.

'whats the best software for burning'

ne thing that comes in a ginormous cardboard box...ideally anything from microsoft/mcafee/most games. Cds/dvds really dont burn well without an accelerant (i find petrol is good there-but watch those eyebrows :) ), and have u ever tried burning a floppy...it just doesnt work :(

Sorry- just in one of those goofy moods i'm afraid :) I use nero, but when i'm lazy i just rip stuff 2 .avi then burninate it using the XP burninating software

I have no comment on your borrowing of movies and burn them
However, for the software, Nero is one of the best
