T7What is the best socket A mobo for about 100 dollars? Has to have overclocking abilities i.e dipswitches/bios.

I heard of the Gigabyte, Tyan, and Epox motherboards but havent seen them compared

Im not looking for a Abit or an Asus which will cost me ~ 150

Thanks

only the abit and the asus board have the overclocking capabilities(msi k7t pro2 also has it in the bios but it isnt out yet)

Epox has a version out that has the dipswitches for overclocking. I have the non overclocking varieties at work and love them. Nice and stable and also allows you to start the computer by hitting any key on the keyboard. I'm able to hide the entire tower deep under people's desks. I do most of teh installs from the server anyway.

Biostar from what i hear from red dawna dn jonny guru is a really stable board.

I got a new soyo socket A board on the way to. I hope it is has stable has the others.

IMHO, the only alternatives to those boards are the MSI K7T series (Master or pro you decide), and one of the Gigabyte ones (I think they have a low cost version as well as a normal one).

there's also DFI, which one of my friends has in his computer. it appears to be ok.. they made quite a few Super 7 motherboards.

Don't think that you will gte OC with a mobo for $100. The EPOX 8kta2 will have OC and the new VIA Southbridge that supports ATA100. Performs about the same as the ABIT board. Don't see it selling for less than $130.
