I'm tired of messing with SLI, so for my next gaming board I'm upgrading from a Skt 939 to Skt AM2 is going to not be SLI.

No overclocking either, I just want good ole gaming performance stability...

The only thing that looks good to me is the Asus M2N-E

What do you guys think?

THANKS

P.S. I'd love to have a 590, but maybe the differences aren't much...

Well the Asus M2N-E looks like the only thing out there for AM2 that isn't SLI and is pretty decent, from what I can tell.

I'm loving my M2N-E. Just be carefull with the ram you choose.

Had my 3800 x2 @ 2.6 no probs.

Haven't tried to o/c this 6000+ yet though, and I don't hold much hope, I think 3.1 -3.2 will be its max on air.

If you can wait until the first week of June, Gigabyte should have about as full featured boards as you can get based on the 690G chipset, for both mATX and ATX.

Isn't there a $30 rebate for EVGA 590 SLI, which makes the price AR = $99? I know that you mentioned no need for SLI, but if free, why not? AFAIK, that board is identical to the Foxconn board that NV used as reference 590 SLI, and used to cost $250 just a few months ago.

If you want to spend less, Biostar TForce 550 and DFI NF4 Ultra-MII look very solid.

I had the same decision to make a few days ago - M2N-E or Biostar 570 SLI (don't care for SLI either). Basically there just too many people reporting all kinds of issues with the M2N-E (including RAM volts limited to 1.95v) and I decided to go Biostar 570SLI and am happy - running in non-SLI mode at 315 X 9 and that is stable without issues (running a 3600 X2). Didn't really care for BIOSTAR but at CDN$90 could not pass up. Excellent board and comparable in performance to my other 2 DFIs Skt 939, Asus A8N-E, A32RMVP etc. Really like the memory performance on this board once I got the settings to the tightest possible

Just because you buy a board that has SLI capability doesn't mean you have to try using SLI. Almost every SLI board will run perfectly in a single card config without all the driver issues of SLI.
