whats the best size case to mod?

that completely depends on what you are trying to do and what you're priorities are. If you want the best possible airflow that means you need the most area to install fans so a good full tower would suit you well. Do you want to install a window? I personally have a En7237 (a good sized mid-tower) its easy to mod, I've got casters, plexi, blow hole, 2 80s exhaust, 92 intake, 4switch baybus, 92 side intake in the plexi. Great case and cheap (around $50 + shipping w/300 watt psu). It really depends on what you are trying to do though. I would recommened a full tower over all though.

Yeah I'd agree with Syndicate on this one.. the size doesn't have any bearing it all depends on what you are going to mod.. Full tower would have lots of room to add blowholes and side intakes or windows.. but then again a Mid Tower is easier to lug around to a lan party.. it all depends on what you plan to do with the case..

I strongly recommend a mid-tower. (I have an Enlight 7237.) The downside to full towers is that they are a real pain to work on and move around. The latter should be fairly obvious.

I base the former observation on my recent experience with some full tower cases. For example, you have to clear that much more real estate on your workbench before you can get into them.

One more consideration: you can certainly do more modding to a full tower. You can add more fans, a bigger window, etc. It would certainly look impressive but, in the end, it would be a lot of extra window dressing and not much more.
