Nice price,i would take that tbh.unless found cheaper.The cheapest i can find the PCS+ is £320,add delivery to that and the msi card is a no brainer.

850w is enough assuming its a high quality PSU, and the rest of you system. I've used 850 with 290x crossfire.

You should do a driver reinstall whenever you change cards. Even if they use the same drivers.

PC has got 2x7970s in it already

Reckon I could sell them and get £400-£500 for them

replace them with R9 290s at £299 each

Case is fine and yeah it's a high quality PSU one of the crosshair modular ones

Not too bothered tbh , I could always put them in my other PC or give them to my old man

CryoVenom, followed by PCS+ and then Tri-X



The CryoVenom is water-cooled, binned, and has hynix memory stock. I'd def call that the "best" 290, but I'd probably go with an MSI Lightning or Sapphire 290X for that price.

The XFX DD doesn't have as good of VRM cooling as the other 3. It's thermal padded to the plastic frame. The others are to the metal cooler.

Don't forget the Gigabyte Windforce 3x.

The tri-x cooler is amazing. I can keep my 290 around 60c if I increase the fan speeds. VRM1 stays around 70c.

In terms of air cooling performance, the Powercolor PCS+ due to its 3-slot design.

I currently run 2x MSI Gaming 290s in crossfire, water cooled with 2x420 rads. Good cards and I don't think you'll be disappointed.
