CloneCD/DVD used to be the best, even able to back-up SafeDisc 2 CD's, however from what i've read nothing has been able to get past SafeDisc 3 which is used in games such as Doom 3

I like Alcohol 120%, although it makes .MDF files rather than ISO's. They're pretty much the same thing but I'm not sure if any program besides Alcohol can burn them.

Alcohol 120% is currently probably the best for making ISO images, but I still use CloneCD.

Doom 3 uses Safedisc 3.20.022 to be exact and yes, it can be "backed up."

When I used to make a lot of isos, I found that blindread/blindwrite worked best.

ummmmmmmmm, I'm gonna have to test out my GameJack software to see if it will get past Doom 3 copy protection. Will let you know if it worked or not.

Yeah I was going to say. I used CD clone to make a image of my Doom III run CD just fine. Daemon tools works great as a virtual drive too.
