Whats the best printer for ~100$?

need a new one, NOT A LEXMARK i hate them and they suck

i need something thats fast for text and images and has good quality all around, one that has cheap ink would be good also

Wait for the occassional Samsung laser printer deals. Best Buy has them pretty regularly. You can get a nice 17PPM laser printer for $50-$100 after MIR.

Exactly, you can get the samsung from office depot right now for ~80+tax after rebate right now. Mine came friday...it's nice I gave my inkjet to my sister...

i have canopn i560. superb.

Epson C82 is what i have...4 cartridge...prints amazingly well i think...i do CD labels with it and lots of people can't tell the diff
If you do mostly b/w then i'd say laser would be the way to go...nothing like laser when it comes to b/w printing especially for speed. Dont do the cheapy brother brand ones though...those suxor.

for sub $100, i would go with the c84 ($79 ar)

The i560 can be picked up for $100 AR at staples, while the i860 costs about $150.

All three print very similar. I would personally save your money and go with a c84

newegg has the i860 for $135 and mvave has it for $127

i can get it for 129 shipped from Buy.com

No, but realistically, how often do you really need color? For the few times I actually needed color I could just print it off on somebody elses for free or pay a quarter and print it off on the color printers at school.

If it's for pictures I have all of that done at Walmart for dirt cheap.
