Is this a repost? Probly.

I've been curious about these for awhile and now my dad wants one. What's the best MP3 player that takes discs? It's gotta be really good on batteries. Sound quality and skip protection is also important.

Yes, Iriver, especially the SlimX is the total b-iz-omb. I researched tons of players a year ago, and settled on the 350. Things may have changed since last year, but I am braggingly happy with the Slimx 🙂

The only thing I don't like is the load up time. You also have the option to recharge the batteries right in the CD player so you don't have to take them out.

So it sounds like the SlimeX (sounds like a planet from TMNT, doesn't it?) is the way to go. Any opinions on the RIO ones? Or are they about as good as the ones at BB?
