So if you click on a link and it opens a new window it will close it?

I though the program was just buggy when I tried it.

You are talking about blocking popups for IE right?

You will get a lot of people saying "Mozilla".

Exactly
Had forgotten how bad the popup crap is until I had to use somebody elses computer (with only IE on it) a few days ago.
I never see em with Mozilla.

I have completed the next task!!! Get quoted as an original in a repost!

Wow! I feel like them guys in K-PAX. What's my next challenge?

POW sux. You have to manually add each site you want to block to a list. The best popup killer BY FAR is Free Surfer

And with good reason. I've been using Mozilla as my main browser since just before 1.0 and it's to the point now where I absolutely can't stand to browse in IE. The web is practically unusable with IE for me.

fair enough. i cant use mozilla.

if there's enough interest, i might be persuaded to host the hosts file 😉

well, i'll have to check with the original writer about that, though.

Try PopUpCop. It can be set at different levels and you can specify what it blocks from flash, to active x, scripts, and pop ups. It works great since I installed it.

If you use crazy browser, it automatically blocks pop-ups, and is like 99.9% effective (almost so much so that certain legit pop-ups will not open)

I love it; pop-up blocking with tabbed browsing = fun
