Directron has it for $14.99. I'm planning to hook this, or the M1A to my XP-120 and I wish to have RPM controlling to quiet it down so it doesn't always run at full speed. (I also have a Coolermaster Muskteer).

I'm wondering what this fan comes with. On Directrron it says "Connector Option: Bare Leads", is that all I need?

My motherboard has a 3-pin CPU_FAN connector, with Q-Fan, but the site says "no RPM sensing" for the fan.

All I want to do is to be able to control the fan speed (Either with my Coolermaster Musketeer or automatically with my motherboard's Q-fan).

You will need a connector, maybe a 3 to 4 pin adapter also, depending on how your controller is set up.

Go here

I bought my Delta from them and they allowed me to choose the connector as well as sleeved wires.

Plus all the yellow wire allows you to do is see the RPMs and has nothing to do with changing the fan speed unless you want the controller to do it automatically. Without the yellow wire, you have to change the speed manually.

Nexus fans are made by Yate Loon. The link you provided is for a Yate Loon but it's out of stock.

You might want to check this site for Yate Loon fan for $6

Specs as below:

DC Brushless
D12SM-12
DC 12V 0.30A
TUV, CE Approved
Yateloon Electronics

From Yateloon website:

D12SM-12
120x120x25
12V
1650RPM
70.5CFM
33dB

I had a good experiance with frozencpu, but they only sell the U or M type 120 panaflo.

When you order a panaflo fan, it comes with only the bare wires and a connector to the fan (this looks like a 3 pin MB fan connector).

You need to get a fan tail that has 3 or 4 pin power connector instead of bare wire, and the 3 pin connector to the fan.

Ditto on the Yate Loon!
I bought 2 of them. very quiet! (can't find the low speed models in stock anywhere though.)
That medium speed one listed above is definately worth a shot though.

Pentium Guy,

The 120mm Panaflos do not support rpm-sensing.. This goes for the entire 120mm lineup. The RPM-sensing ("BX") models have an RPM sensor on the rotor. Without this sensor you cannot get the RPM readout. You CANNOT ADD RPM-SENSING BY ADDING A THREE WIRE FANTAIL as some here have suggested.

Don't be fooled by optional three-wire fantails sold by online vendors. A three wire fantail will not add RPM-sensing. Several companies sell RPM-sensing 120x120x25mm fans. I can only remember the Vantec (Stealth), 120mm AcoustiFan, and Thermaltake right now.

Check out the net'. Heres' a link to Xoxide's 120mm fan page:
http://www.xoxide.com/120mmfans.html

Good luck.
