The 6000 is advertised in all Verizon Wireless stores here at $150 after a 1-yr agreement... otherwise $200.

Huh? Otherwise what?
Otherwise meaning no contract and just purchasing the phone itself and using Verizon on a month-to-month basis.

Wow...then wherever you're at is giving a good deal. I tried to sign up with Verizon...but they wanted a 2 year contract for the phone for 150 after a 50 dollar rebate. I don't like 2 year contracts. :disgust:

Hold the phone.. maybe I'm misunderstanding something on the deal then. I read the fine print and it didn't say anything about not being able to purchase the phone for full price ($200). And you can always sign up for the Verizon plans without 1-2 year contracts (even as a new customer), am I right ?

rh71: When I went to a verizon store...here is what i was told. 200 dollars for a 2 year contract, 250 for a 1 year. There is a 50 dollar mail in rebate for that phone.

Edit: Oh yeah, when you try to order the phone via the website, they don't even offer the mail in rebate with the 2 year. I guess every store works differently.

:( ~$310 out the door w/ a 2 year contract extension.

Has anyone mentioned the Samsung A530?

I swear by Samsung phones (would have got the S105, if Tmobile worked in my house). I love flips. The Screen is incredible. It has a color external screen. Nice interface. It's smaller than most flips, but not as small as that tiny Cingular one (that one is sorta fruity).

Comes with two batteries, and it even comes with this little charger doohickey (so you can plug the power cord into the phone, or into the charger, so you don't need the phone to be plugged in to charge.

Nice looking, nice feeling phone.

Every review I have read, the LG has scored higher than the Samsung. I personally like the look of the A530 better, but from reading all the reviews, I'd rather have the LG.

Here is the cnet review for Verizon phones: link
