Whats the Best Personal Money Management Program

I know microsoft has its money program, but is it worth a crap..? any other suggestions?

For my apartment bills with my roommates I just did up a spread-sheet in excel and plugin our bills and it totals everything out by bill and does a total for each person, then I plugin how much they have paid me and leaves out how much they still owe me. Took 5 minutes

I would like to know at the end of the year how much was spent on Food, gas, fast food, location, misc, insurance, blah blah, maybe an access database? I think it would be simpler to download a program that already has the tables and forms set up.. i dont know... i might do a database....

You can probably do most of that with the average online banking offering.

Spreadsheet with a column for each type of expenditure.

An Access DB could also be used, seems to be an overkill for what you are needing to want to do.
