I'm looking to get a couple of certifications, I want to beef up my resume a bit. My goal would be to find work that would allow me to telecommute. I'm interested in learning Exchange and maybe some other administrative related technologies. Is that a good choice for work at home positions?

system engineer and dba. i get about half work from home and half in office. I would think many IT positions besides helpdesk and maybe a network admin type who needs to changes tapes and fix hardware.

About the only IT jobs I've ever seen that were "work from home" were just glorified help desk positions. Sure some companies have a work from home policy where you can get a day or two here or there where you can VPN in from home, but nothing full time.

Any admins I've ever worked with were required to be onsite and easily available if/when shit blows up.

Been at home for so many years I can't remember when i started here. I'd rather be in an office most days. Not all, because getting ready for work is the worst part of every morning. I'm a web app dev'r for a corp. Usually developers and many project managers are wfh as well.
