What's the best part of Vegas?

For me it'd be the sports books. Nothing like the Belaggio sports books where you can put down a bet, get drunk off the free drinks, and get crazy over a random college team trying to cover a 9 point spread in the last 2 minutes of a game when the ending is already decided.

The clubs are pretty cool too, but being in LA where Hollywood is just a short drive away, they're not a top priority for me..the same goes for the card games, where a poker game can be found at a few locations near me as well.

The other stuff though is just too expensive, which takes away from the experience just a bit..

Dude the best part of Vegas is getting all drunk and then heading to places like the El cortez and the Western, the freaks that hang out there are the best entertainment in town.

lol i live in vegas... and no i dont live in a hotel/casino.

What is it with everyone out there and crown molding. My uncle lives out there and does crown molding installation as a side job and could almost make a living off it alone. He works a lot but rakes in a lot of cash working for some carpentry firm and then his side job.

What about cheap (good) food?

Those seafood/steak buffets are not cheap.

mmm, Texas Station.

Green Valley Ranch FTW!

Yeah, many have gotten more expensive, but those are for the newbies who only stay on the strip and don't know the great deals off of it 🙂

Strip for show, off-strip to save some dough... yeah I can't believe I just typed that. But it's true--places like the Orleans, the Station casinos, the Coast casinos (Orleans is one) are the best values in Vegas--eats and atmosphere of a large resort with better prices, and you can always drive to the strip (many offer shuttles).

Please add food to the pole!
