Bump! I'm also in the market for an antenna for our new apartment. Are powered ones that much better than a regular one? I don't want something with massive rabbit ears that extend to the ceiling.

EDIT: Is the Terk one on this page that much better than the RCA one? You say the RCA one you guys were referring to boosts up to 45dB, but the RCA one on this page does 30. The Terk one, however, does 45dB boost.
