I'm partial to Logitech mice... I like the optical mouseman. It's a great mouse, but it all depends on what you prefer ergonomically, these just do it for me, they fit my hand nice and beautiful performance.

The new Dual Optical mouse(two optical sensors on the base) by Logitech has been getting good reviews I would be buying that if I had spare cash :).

Another vote for Logitech. I have the Mouseman optical (the one with the cool blue light!), and it's a damned good mouse. The rubber grip, the sleek look and feel, it just can't be beat. The dual optical logitech is a pretty good mouse too, i had the chance to mess around with it. IMHO, they're both great mice.

i got this combo and really like it. it may take some adjustment to use the mouse in FPS games but it will do. my adjustment in UT consisted of going from an aggressive style of combat to one that is passive, timing based, and patience. because of this, i was able to get better at FPS games overall. batteries last about a month for the mouse and even longer for the keyboard. plus the combo looks cool, my main reason for getting it.

i also like logitech over microsoft optical mice since my microsoft intellimouse explorer that i bought in 1999 had the LED die on me. what a POS!

I use the mouse from the great satan themselves :) Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer and it rocks for me.

I'm not really fond of those dinky Logitech's, although they're good too.

However, I=want dual optical :)

You realise ATA cables are classified as "hardware" so buying an intellimouse with hardware shouoldnt be that hard.
