I have a couple gaming computers and I was just kind of curious if there is something better then XP 32 bit SP2?

It's what I have on both computers right now a core 2 duo computer and a a64 computer.

Is it beneficial to go to something like Windows XP 64 bit or Vista?

Or is XP 32 bit SP2 still the best OS for gaming?

Are most people here still on Windows XP 32 bit? For there gaming systems?

If it is time to upgrade to Windows XP 64 bit does it support all the older games?

For games right now you have the best OS.
And it will stay the best gaming OS for a long time. Many of todays games arent going to work well in Vista (especially if you get the 64-bit) and it will be a long time before the library of Vista games gets filled.

Incidentally, you will likely get more and better answers to your question if you post this in the Operating Systems forum. (Also, they have already covered this issue over there in detail already.)

EDIT: XP 64 bit is widely considered a failed experiment in OS's.
And you certainly dont want it for games. The handful of titles converted to 64-bit is irrelevant compared to all the games that wont function under it.

All modern windows games are designed and tested for Windows XP 32bit.
Windows 2000 will work fine as well, but certain publishers put O/S checks in the game to make it only work on XP, there are ways around this.
