I'm sure this has been asked millions of times but I didn't find a seach result very quickly so I thought I'd ask. Yes I love Newegg but ever since they got gay and put a warehouse or something in TN I now have to pay TN sales tax which happens to be almost 10% so on a $1200 pc that would add over $100. So name some of your favorites that have cheap shipping, decent customer service and good prices.

I've tried to order from

ZZF
Newegg
Mwave

and only managed to get a transaction completed at:

Directron, to which I had no problems at all. and actually took an RMA on a crappy EPoX motherboard I ordered from them. No problems with anything from Directron, I liked them.

Don't go with Monarch.

Any reason why? They have always been great with me, as have Mwave

So you are pissed off still because they wont take the cpu, grow up. Its been known for quite some time that lots of retailers are voiding warranty for using thermal compound other than what came with the cpu

After Newegg.com started charging sales tax to my state, I went with ZipZoomFly.com and have been very pleased with them.

I pretty much agree with the list so far. I have had satisfactory dealings with most of them. Directron is now merged with Axion Tech - they are having a merger sale on Saturday (Jan. 22) if you're in the Houston area.
. And I've had good luck buying from individuals on eBay (knock on wood) and the For Sale/Trade sections of the techie forums.

Newegg is getting pretty tight-assed about their RMAs now too... All the vendors are.

LOL, somebody's pissed Monarch rejected his AS5 F'ed up CPU RMA.
Those Monarch pricks won't even look at it to see if the AS caused the problem. They're just loking for a way out. I was completely honest with them and they told me to get lost ONLY because I used AS. That is bullshit!

If you were in ike's position you'd be pissed to. who knows if it is fault due to his accident or a defective part. say even it was his fault, if you were in his shoes you'd be pretty pissed that your brand new system got messed up in this way. those heatsinks are a bitch to take off =/

but, the best way to learn is from your own mistakes, thats how i learned this whole computer building thing. :)
