Well, we caught one 4 days ago with a sticky trap. Sadly, my family thought the one we caught was the only one in the house and let there guard down. Sadly, i SWEAR i just seen one out the corner of my eye running on the kitchen stove/counter.

I checked the poison today i put down and its been disturbed but my sister said she mightve bumped it but shes not sure. I only have one down but im sure the mice eats it. Im going to buy about 10 more poison traps and line them around the kitchen and in the basement. Im wondering does it really take 4-5 days to kill the bastards after they eat the poison?

Live traps are the best method.
Other methods are cruel and who wants to smell a dead rat rotting inside a wall .

the glue trap is not as effective as the snap traps, but are a bit more humane in the sense that you can take the board with the rat on it, put it ouside, and spray it with water so that the glue disintegrates, and the pissed off rat will scurry off. cage traps often get their food eaten without the back door coming down...

Yep.

Get that poison that they take back to their nests. Then get some of the old fashion mousetraps. Then get a pellet gun for the elusive ones.

Don't get the sticky stuff. Ever. (they will just come back inside)

I don't get why people are so hung up on being "humane". It's a freakin mouse, just get a snap-trap and smash its head in. Not only is it a better death than slowly dying of poison, but mice caught that way don't come back, unlike the catch/release glue and cages. And if you're worried about some rat brains or blood getting on the floor, consider a dead rat rotting in your walls, which is what happens when you poison them. The only real advantage poison has over a standard trap is that you never really need to reset it.

I really dont care if they die a horrible painful death. I just want them gone. I got 1 sticky trap left and 2 none view traps and 2 snap traps with 1 poison down. I just brought 3 poison food stations so hopefully they die a painful death! :mad;

The sticky ones work ok but most effective for me are Victor mouse traps. Other traps might not snap and I dont like using the posion pellets and finding a smelly dead mouse. My record so far is less than one hour laying the trap with peanut butter or cheese.. I get into bed and snap! :p

a cat. Seriously. Last fall when it started getting cold outside the little fuckers started coming out of the wood work. So I went to the animal shelter and got two fat ass cats and haven't seen one since.

Yeah, get a cat or two. That way you get rid of the current ones and no new ones will come around.

We have some outdoor cats we feed. We have no rabbits, chipmunks, mice, or anything else like that around.

whoa.. expensive moust trap.

i just use the victor snap traps. we have tried a varity of live catch ones but they just don't seem to work.

anyway. i stick them on poles and have them in the yard as a warning to other mice.
