My Intellimouse Optical(about 3 years old) is getting kinda old and is not as responsive anymore in FPS games. So, what do you guys suggest? MX510 or another Microsoft Mouse?

Thanks in advance.

It's mostly an issue of brand name preference. They've both gotten so good...

MX700 comes with a docking station. Just put it in when you go to sleep at night and you never have to worry about it.

I really like my Logitech MX 300. I imagine the 310 and 510 models are just as good. I tried the MX 700, but I definitely noticed some lag. It was much less noticeable than the MS cordless mouse I have at work, but it was still enough to phaze me while trying to play FPS games. I hope that helps.

Yeah. I just charge my MX 700 every night. Sometimes I forget to charge it but the batteries can last a few days depending on how much I use the mouse.

I thought I noticed some lag too at first, but then I realized that it really wasn't lag. The optical sensor is off center on the MX700 so the cursor moves differently from what I was used to with a regular mouse. It's mostly noticeable in Photoshop when you have to make minute movements.

I like my 700, but wish it had more customizable buttons like my kensington

I have an MS cordless mouse as well and the lag is awful -- I went back to my old MS intellimouse explorer. I bought my GF an MX700 for xmas and, by comparison, has next to no lag. And yes, she rubs it in to this day. :(
