Another vote for MSI K7T Pro or MSI K7T Pro2A if you want overclocking ability & ATA-100 support.

If you can afford it, I would go with the Abit KT7, or wait a untill mid-Febuary to get the new and improved version, the Abit KT7A. This board adds the new feature of ATA-100, and most importantly, supports the new 266 FSB for the next version of the T'Bird with a Wider bus than now.

What I am probably going to do is wait untill I can get a KT7A-Raid MB in less than 4 weeks, and beleive me when I have the cash now, and want to buy everything now, its excruiating.

i own both motherboard, and the msi pro2, in my opinion, is a piece of crap compare to the asus a7v. pro2 memory bandwidth is about 20 percent slower. the highest speed that i was able to overclock my 1ghz tbird was to 1.15ghz with the pro2-a, while i got up to 1.2ghz from the asus.

everyone likes the pro2 because it got such great review on anandtech, however, the guy who reviewed it had been "let go."

with the latest bios i dont think you can go wrong with the asus a7v.
