without a doubt after owning a total of 4 ultra boards the asus a8n-e is the cream of the crop.it does everything well.perfect layout, mature bios, fast as h***,o/clocks well with stk or near stock voltages, stable as a rock even when o/clocked.cant be beat.i had the abit an8 ultra, gigabyte ultra and the msi ultra and none compaired to the asus.im an abit fan too and that board had all kinds of issues.im hoping abit will put out a good series of boards with am2.the nf4 boards were not up to the usual abit standards.very unstable.i understand the kn8 series are better but the layout is terrible.gigabyte has a good layout but the nf4 chipset rund so hot with the heatsink only and you cant put a taller cooler on it as the video card over hangs it,but i like the board.the msi was ok but 2 of the ram slots went out on mine, but that could have just been mine.the asus a8n-e has not i issue ,runs everyday no problems at all and ill bench this against any dfi ultra d at the same speed like i do with my buddies and there amazed that its just as fast.granted they can o/clock higher but my cpu runs at 30 idle and 36 full load and i can put a killer cooler on mine and it dosent interfear with the video card at all.nf4 chipset temps full load for hours are 38c.beat that dfi.dont get me wrong the dfi are good boards for what their designed for[the ultra d,slid and dr].the expert killed my cpu with system defaults on a startup after 4 weeks so im done with dfi.dfi says we will replace the board but screw the cpu, your on your own with that.so no dfi for me ever again.
