Whats the best Madden 2002 team to play as?

Aside from the all star teams, who's best overall for Madden 2002 on PS2 (on normal mode)

Any tips or tricks known would be appreciated too.

Tampa Bay Bucs. And trade Alstott for some more defense, he's worthless in the game.

Don't know if they are the best but I usually play as Rams.

I would have to say the Rams as well. You have Warner, Faulk, Holt, Bruce, and Pace all rated in the 90s (I think Wilkins and Wistrom might be as well) and if you don't like any of them, trade them for the person that you do like.

Tip: If you have a hard time trying to run the ball, outside sweeps typically work very well (Too well IMO)

Also, if you're playing on an XBox, it's best to hold down the left trigger before you throw on slants and streaks (this throws to where the receiver will be, not where he currently is)
