I would not recommend any LGA1151 board other than a Z170 or H170 chipset. DDR4 is not expensive right now so you can get 16GB for not much more than $50.

Gigabyte Gaming 7 is on the top of my list, but that's mainly 'cause I just recently built a new rig with one and love it :D

Lots of features, slots, extras etc and it is really fast & quiet too !

Don't mean to be rude here but did you even read the post? I needed a motherboard that supported DDR3 not DDR4 for less then $125.00. Doesn't matter now though I already bought a new motherboard from AMD instead of going Skylake this time.Just couldn't get the total cost low enough to be able to buy into Intel Skylake.

Yeah skylake's a hard sell if you already have Sandy Bridge or newer and do the slightest amount of research into the issue.. I did it for my mother as a favor and it's a hobby and I just wanted to have USB 3.1 type C, M.2, etc.

For such an older platform this motherboard and CPU kick some major ass. I thought AMD sucks as far as AMD FX goes, at least that is what everyone is saying around these parts?? Cant tell it by me. Plus this motherboard was a refresh so it has M.2 and USB 3.1 :) I couldn't be happier specially since my PC doesn't take 5 mins to boot any longer.God I couldn't get away from that X79 crap fast enough. It was one nightmare after another.Boot issues,USB ports disconnecting, and major Sata 3 issue's.Not to mention total lag.Seems like with AMD everything just work like it should.its odd cause I never had those problems on x58 and I had like 5 different x58 systems up till now.
