What's the BEST Image Format...?? What do you use..???

Standard ISO, BIN/CUE, ISZ (Compressed ISO), SUB/CCD (Clone CD), NRG (Nero) , ASHDISC (Ashampoo), MDF/MDS (alcohol), DAA (PowerISO), or UIF..????

Pls answer with FACTS.....Not just because is it what you use (personal)...

uhm first your question is contradicting ..,
why go with Nero or ashampoo where those images are supported only by that software
go with iso

i like ISO because it is more widely supported.
when i need send it to someone, i compress it with WinRAR first.
why get locked to Nero or any other restricted format?

I agree ... standard ISO format is the most convenient ... but there are some programs, like UltraISO
that can handle various types of formats ... I myself have UtlraISO, PowerISO, Nero 6.x & Roxio 6
on my computer ... usually use Nero, but sometimes, I may want the others

Standard ISO is the most useful in any circumstance.

Here's a hint: Microsoft releases all of it's images in ISO format.

Depends on the filesystem and data in use. For ISO9660 filesystems they'll be ISO, for UDF discs they'll be UDF. For discs with multiple tracks bin/cue is nice because you can have multiple tracks of any type in the bin file.

The FACT is, I agree with Nothinman.

What kind of disc are you looking to image?
