X193HQ by Acer(I think the max resolution this one can do is 1366 x 768)

I currently have a Power colour 4670 1GB.

Can anyone recommend a better graphic card ?

My power supply is the one that came with the case. Headway, 450 W

Is that card not enough for that monitor?
Honestly that's a pretty low resolution so unless a particular game is stuttering the 4670 should probably be doing fine. I'd say a good upgrade would be a 5750 which would work with a 450 W PSU no problem.
One of the g92 (8800s, 9800s, GT250s) rehashes from nvidia might be a good upgrade as well, but they are old tech at this point.

A Headway 450 watt psu has a 25 amp 12v rail.
It probrobly runs at 70% efficiency.

What kind of cpu do you have?
What games are you playing or want to play?

Minimum requirements for the HD5750 is 400 watts. I'd say 5750 would be perfect for that res. He could pretty much max out any setting in any game that's currently out there...

EDIT
Sorry it's 450w like others stated. I was thinking about my HD4670 for some reason...

My 4850 is sexy at that resolution and the 5750 is equal or better... so yes get a 5750.

I wouldn't recomment anything until we know more about what the OP plans to to use it for. A 4670 is pretty adequate for many games at that resolution.

I have a 4830 driving a 19" at 1440x900 with all the games I play at Max. A 5750 is the absolute maximum he should get, and the 4670 may in fact be just right.

When I had my old 3850 512MB at 1360 I would run into trouble with AA. Now AA is virtually never a problem at that res with my 4850. 4670 has a bit better AA than 3850, but just because 1360 is a low res doesn't mean it doesn't demand some performance. 5750 is a fine upgrade and fine choice for that resolution for AA.

But the OP should chime in about what games he wants to play. More info is always nice (CPU + RAM too please).

Hi guys, thanks for your insightful replies. Reason is because...for some weird reason, GTA IV seems to stutter ALOT during helicopter rides...if I'm at ground lvl, everything is fine...
now for the more problematic question...which ati/nvidia graphic card doesn't need additional power ? as in....like 4670, it runs off the pci-e slot/ Anyone got any ideas?. Oh and I play all games @ 1024X768. Running on good old XP

Processer = Athlon 64 X2 5200+, Ram is 2GB, DDR2. Nothing special
Games Intending to get...
RE 5
Borderlands
Company of Heros and its many expansions(I know it's an old game)
Sins of a Solar Empire

For GTA, your cpu is the problem especially at that res.

Radeon 5750 will be able to run on a 450w PSU, but it will need a 6-pin power connector.

But your CPU is really a problem too. See how low an X2 5000+ performs in the game:

http://www.pcgameshardware.com/aid,...ark-review-with-13-processors/Reviews/?page=2

And that's with a GTX 280, which is even a good deal faster than a 5750. You need Quad Core (AMD or Intel). Dual core can get away only if it is C2D at 3Ghz or higher. 2GB of RAM is probably a bit low for this game as well.

What's your motherboard? Can you take even an original Phenom, like a 9750?

Perhaps the best solution for you is just lowering in game settings. It's certainly the cheapest.

edit: Radeon 5670 will be available within the coming week(s). As the successor to the 4670, it drains the same amount of power and requires no power connector. It seems generally 13-40% faster than a 4670, but it will still be slower than a 5750. And again, CPU is a big problem too.
