What's the best glue for reattaching the binding back to a book?

a thin layer of wood glue, probably. it's designed to wick into wood a little bit, so would give a good bond.

that stuff is cool, one of my uncles used to get like a hundred two dollar bills from the bank then bind them in a stack during the holidays and randomly ahnd them out.
