I like the collars and leashes for our goats that I'm giving to my husband. We can take the goats for walks now!

Other than that, I am proud of my high school youth group kids, and happy to pitch in on their gift because they chose to forgo their usual White Elephant gift exchange and put the money towards Warm Blanket Orphan Care, an organization that rescues kids from slavery in other countries and funds their start in a free life (Charity Navigator 4 stars).

What's the coolest thing you're giving this year?

Nothing's really cool this year. I didn't have the money to get creative gifts, so it's all utilitarian stuff, or things that were all ready asked for. My daughter wanted Uggs for xmas, but I free formed it a bit, and got some that aren't the typical style you see everywhere. I'm hoping she'll realize they're cooler than the regulars, and dig having something different from everybody else.

Yea, maybe :^D

She already had imitations that her mother got her, so I thought something different would be cooler. She's not quite typical, so I'm hoping she'll get the appeal of not being another cog in the machine :^)

Well, since I am only giving one thing... It would be this:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16828102430 Although I bought it at wal-mart because of time constraints.

God damn mofo. They didn't let me hotlink. :(

I own that printer and love it. My ONLY complaint is that I had to connect a USB between it and any computer I wanted to print from to set up the wireless. Other than thant...the pics look great, it prints B&W decently fast and is still on the ink that came with it 4 months after I bought it. Whoever you got it for should love it.

My big thing was myTouch for my son. This time I set up controls on his account so his mom can't jack it again :D

No, YOU buy that shit so you can fit in, but that's because you're insecure, spoiled and whiny.

lxskllr is giving his daughter a thoughtful present and her response will be cued off of what he's taught her growing up, which sounds like it's been pretty good stuff.

Have you seen what I wear? I do not fit in at all. I wear clothes that make me look like a young child. :awe:

$50 gift card for stage shows/musicals to one of my bosses. He has two kids, and a nudge for a night out is nice.

Otherwise, a Napoleon Dynamite Pedro action figure. Friend at work loves Napoleon Dynamite to death.

Oh, I forgot about 1 thing... I got my daughter a 4gb flash drive that looks like a teddy bear, and I put Machinarium on it with the wallpapers and soundtrack also. I downloaded the Linux and Windows versions so she can use them on both of her machines. The resolution of her Eee700 might not be great enough though.

I want to play it too, but I didn't feel right playing her game before she got a chance to. The demo was fun :^) Check it out...

One of my boys is getting a PS3. That's almost $300 but I got as part of a TV deal so not so bad. Another is getting a Stoeger 12 ga shotgun - that was $450. The third got a train set set us back $335. My wife gets a stand up jewelry cabinet so she stops leaving stuff all over dressers in closet. I also got her a spa treatment. Got my mom a wine fridge. Got my dad a book about golf and some Greg Norman golf shirts.

I got my Mom a Wii and Wii Fit since she's been asking for one. I'm just hoping for a phone call from someone who was very special to me, but I'm afraid I won't get it.

Mm, I didn't have to set it up with a USB cable at all. I ran all the latest install files from the Canon website for Windows 7 x64 on both of my parents' laptops and there were no issues. It said it had a semi-weak connection via wi-fi, but it scans and prints just fine anyway. So it works just fine right now. It is a bit loud with the scanning though.

I connected it via WPA2 wi-fi to my wireless router through the menu system on the printer, then installed all the software from the downloads, and it works. :awe:

Sadly I wasted $7 yesterday. I went out and bought a wallet and my parents gave me one for Christmas tonight. I kinda suspected they might have done that! Sigh, their wallet is much better too... It even came with $100 inside it(Heh, pays for their printer I guess). :sneaky: Then I got like two sweaters and this like... kinda ugly coat/sweater thing that I think I might return since I don't really dig it. (It's also too long on the arms) Which my parents are fine with. (But I have to buy clothes with the money they say)

My step dad and I are getting my mom an ipod. He's also buying her a new clock-radio that has an ipod dock and the new stereo we bought her two years ago has a dock as well. I'm going to help her set it all up. I'm probably more excited than she is.

I got my mom a new computer... well, mostly spare parts but they're all relatively news and it's a huge boost from her old dell. bought all new periphials too and a larger monitor.

my sister's getting my dad a digital camera, but I think it's kind of a foolish idea. I've given up on getting my dad tech gifts. he says he wants them, but then he just throws them in a box in his closet and never touches them... so this year, my dad is getting a 3 pound box of his favorite candy from a high end chocolatier and a sweater.

Luckily I don't buy for anyone besides my parents. The Christmases where I had to buy for a girlfriend were expensive ones. :p

I got my mom some stuff from Bath & Body Works, got my dad 2 books that he wanted, and got them a joint gift which is a $50 gift card to their favorite restaurant.

Nothing good really. I'm cheap and a horrible procrastinator. My dad is getting an IOU for a snowsuit, because the store closed early today.

I'm wondering how this is going to play out...
