Hi everyone.
Please tell me about your experiences with GF2MX Cards.
Overclockability, etc., so I know what to buy (perhaps).
My good old V3 isn't that kind of speedy thing anymore... ;)
Has anyone tested the Gainward GF2MX "Golden Sample"?
Do they put high speed (~5ns) Rams on it?

if you don't need to play games at very high resolution, MX is a good choice. i have heard a lot of good comments on them.

i don't know which one is good, but i have heard that one card has 5.5ns ram on it?

Well dont get the Daytona. I come with the mem clocked at 150 and the 6ns Toshiba wont go any higher. The core does go to 220 mayby further if the slider went more.I emailed Daytona and asked why they where shipping there cards with the mem set at 150 and this is what they hhad to say...> I just bought the geforce2 mx. I took out my voodoo5500 and put it in

Dear Sir,

Let me explain to you.

AGP VGA cards use the power from M/B's AGP bus. There are 5 volts and 3.3
volts. And, we found some of M/B's 3.3 volts power are not stable.
Normally, the margine for power should be 4%. That mean 3.17 to 3.43 are
acceptable. However, some of M/B give 2.5 to 3.5 volts. In order to make
sure our GeFORCE2 MX is stable on all kind of M/Bs, we lower down MCLK to
150. I think stable is more important. Please try www.microsoft.com/hcl to
look at who get MS's certified with GeFORCE2 MX.

Under Microsoft Windows Hardware Compatibility List,
search for GeFORCE2 MX in Display, and click GO.

They are full of it.I thought the thing drew less power than the old geforce. 4 watts of power.

BW, I think you should just go ahead and argue with them. What they are talking about is ridiculous. if mobo can't handle MX well, how are they going to handle SDR, DDR, and GTS? they all draw way more than the MX. what they are doing is not what they should do, and they should at least follow the spec by NVidia...
