What's the best game you've never played?

There are two threads in the console gaming forum (what's the best game you've played/ what game was the biggest disappointment) that got me thinking, what's the best game you've never played? I mean, what's a game that has gotten countless rave reviews and maybe you missed it the first time around and can't get yourself to muster the initiative to sit down and play it (or just haven't gotten around to it yet).

For me, off the top of my head I can think of

Deus Ex
System Shock 2
Skyrim
Arkham Asylum

What are yours?

A tough question since rave reviews (see: Dragon Age 2) don't really mean I'd like it.

However, I can safely say it's Planescape: Torment. I know with absolute certainty that I would love that game, I just don't know if I can deal with those limited graphics (unless there's a widescreen mod for it like BG?).

There are widescreen, font, and UI mods for P:T. At 1920x1080, the graphics look pretty good for a game that came out in 1999.

I think for immersion and overall experience, Tie Fighter wins my vote. Also a huge fan of A-10 Tank Killer and Red Storm Rising, both on Amiga.

For me it would have to be Baldur's Gate / Baldur's Gate 2. I own both of them but have never actually played more than a few minutes of the first one. I was just getting ready to install BG when I saw an updated version is coming out this summer, so I am back to waiting to play it.

I went to gamerankings, and from the first couple of pages of the all-time PC list I haven't (or have only briefly) played:

Company of Heroes - I have it on Steam and have played the tutorial several times, but it seems like a big project and I keep on waiting unitl I have a real swath of free time to start the actual game. Maybe this Summer.

Warcraft 3 - I just never bought it. I thinlk I was poor when it came out.

Minecraft - no real interest for some reason.

Grim Fandango - slightly before my time

Starcraft 2 - I wasn't the hugest SC 1 fan, and it never drops in price.

No one lives forever 2 - I've always wanted to play this. Why haven't I bought it yet?

Sacrifice - I've had it for a long time. That's it: I'm installing it again and playing through it this weekend.

I've just installed The Witcher 2: EE and Skyrim off of a fresh OS install, and I intend to finally explore those two games for real.

Off the top of my head:

Any of the Modern Warfare or Battlefield games.
Any of the STALKER games.
Arkham Asylum/City
Just Cause 2

I bought the game on here for like four dollars and tried to play it. I am sure the story is great, and the game play probably gets better. But I did not get past the very first area. I could not take the graphics and interface of such an old game.

EDIT: Forgot to mention the games I have not played.

Earth Bound
Planescape: Torment
MGS 2 and beyond

Of the top 10 games on GameRankings, I have not played: Mass Effect 2, Skyrim, Baldur's Gate 2, Company of Heroes.

Of the top 10 games on Metacritic, I have not played: Out of the Park Baseball 2007, Baldur's Gate 2, Skyrim, Mass Effect 2.

Any of the Final Fantasy Games apart from X (Final Fantasy III and VII getting the most rave reviews).
Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

Deux Ex
KOTOR 1 & 2
Civilization 2 (strange since I am such a huge Civ 4 fan, played 3 a ton in college, played 1 as a kid, but never played 2. Never played Alpha Centauri until just a few months ago when it came out on GoG).

I wonder how many have not played the Microprose Classics: MOO, MOM, and X-COM.

I've never played Half Life 2. I probably never will. I bought HL1 at Target for $10, got bored, and turned on all the cheat codes so I could finish it.
