Whats the best free hit counter?

I used to use Hitbox back in the day but the page has changed. Are they still good or not? Also, can you still change the size of the banner to 1x1 and to have it still work? Or is there no way around it?

I have used hit counters and changed the image size to 1x1 so it cant be seen but still works
