What's the best firewall for XP?

Man, I live in Brazil. It's really tough to find one here, and when you do, you'll find that prices are REALLY too high.

I'm trying norton right now and I really hate it. First, it shows all ports as closed instad of stealth. Second, I find it very difficult to adjust custom settings. Lastly, it isn't rejecting nearly as much as Zone Alarm. For example, it is letting all the pings from my isp get through which come from many different ip addresses. When running ZA, I'll get about 100 rejections in a day but with Norton I get only a few (less than 5). Who knows what else gets through and I can't figure out exactly how to tell as the history is difficult to weed through.

I know ZA doesn't work with XP yet but look for something other than Norton.

You can try the latest build of Sygate Personal Firewall . Free for personal use. I use it with win98se and i'm very happy with it. It supports WinXP now........

This is what I do. Download Sygate Personal Firewall and ZoneAlarm. Set Sygate to block all traffic and have it start at boot up. Set Zonealarm *not* to start at boot up. Then when you boot up your PC, you'll have a firewall block so you can load ZoneAlarm and unload Sygate.

It's paranoid but I've been port scanned for hours at a time before. Some of these script kiddies are really resilient.
