I'm planning on going to Kinko's soon to have some images printed up. What's the best file format for an image in terms of quality? The overall size of it doesn't matter since I'll be putting it to disc anyways. Any help is appreciated.

Probably something like BMP will do. I doubt there's any compression involved at all.

I agree with SUOrangeman, but if your going to be emailing these photo's on the web, get them in .jpg form instead. Or you can get the in .bmp form, then get a free program that converts it to .jpg format.

TIFF. lossless (unlike jpg) and one of the most popular formats for bringing graphics to print at professional print shops.

Thanks for the replies. I've decided to convert the images to BMP and TIFF and see which one they like better. Once again, thanks.

Uncompressed TIFF is the publishing standard. BMP is about as good, but not if the print shop uses Macs.
