What's the best fighting style?

I vote Thai boxing. :awe:

I know there are a thousand other styles out there. I attempted to name the most dominant ones.

I vote: proxy war.

You and your enemy set your weaker cronies against each other, you offer advice and provide backup , but, in general, your cronies get hurt, and you and your enemy are much less significantly harmed.

The best is obviously a combination of techniques from varying schools, abandoning strict form rules for a more fluid type style. Bruce Lee did this years ago...

Wushu.

I've yet to see a karate master toss his hat in the air, hop onto it, and ride it across a river. Or bite off his tongue, harden it, and spit it out as a deadly projectile.

Ain't no levitation or mind bullets* in krav maga!

A mix of wrestling and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Put 99% of people on the ground and they have no idea what to do.

A novice BJJ practitioner (say blue belt) with some decent takedowns could beat a black belt in any traditional martial art in a street fight.

My favorite pure martial art to watch as a fan would be Muay Thai.
