what's the best dvds for media files?

I was just wondering what are the best dvds for media files such as, avi, divx,xvid, etc. I have tried magnavox, memorex, and maxwell. Most of the dvds i burned have been coasters. I would appreciate the feedback.
 
if you used more than 2-3 brands and all were coasters, the media isn't the problem, it is either your computer or the burner
